We are a multidisciplinary team with a wide range of onsite services integrating health care, social care and the voluntary sector.
Our provision includes dermatology clinics, women’s health clinics, ultrasound guided joint injections, community dentistry, outreach maternity services, diabetic eye screening and in house ultrasound scanning.
Our registered in-house charity the Kentish Town Improvement Fund and its Free Space Project and our other voluntary sector colleagues deliver activities ranging from monthly cycle maintenance classes to baby sing along, aromatherapy, Citizens Advice Bureau, Drawing for People with Aphasia and Dance for Parkinson’s. Our charity’s in house artistic director, Daniel Regan, ensures a 6 weekly rolling programme of health related art exhibitions in our gallery space.
Our innovative and integrated approach to health care is recognised by frequent international visiting delegations and by national awards.

We are delighted that the James Wigg and Queens Crescent Practices were shortlisted for the Extended Practice Team of the Year and Clinical Improvement: Mental Health Award in the National General Practice Awards 2021.
RCGP North London Primary Care Staff Awards 2020
We are delighted that two of our colleagues have been recognised for their outstanding contributions by the Royal College of General Practitioners annual North London Awards.
GP Practitioner Award: Dr Sally Higginbottom
Dr Higginbottom is quite simply the most incredible GP, who balances a wide range of roles with the highest quality of clinical general practice you can imagine. She is a highly regarded trainer, appraiser, and mentor and writes educational modules for the RCGP. She is a SPIN programme director, supporting GPs in creating inspiring portfolio careers. In short, she is amazing.
Practice Nurse Award: Nurse Saloni Gaglani
Sal has also worked in Tower Hamlets implementing the Open Doors programme, a practice nurse development programme. Within the practice she has led and supported a team of nurses and supported the practice in redeveloping our travel appointments, management of diabetes, improving our patient outcomes and also with implementing group consultations. At the heart of all this work is her commitment to excellent patient care and her positivity is infectious. She is truly amazing.

Paediatric Clinical Team of the Year – 2016
The practice has won the Paediatric Clincal Team of the Year award at the General Practice awards. This is in recognition of the work that we have been doing to improve services for children.
National GP Team of the Year Awards – 2015
We are very honoured to have been short-listed as a finalist in this, the most prestigious award of this evening, the General Practice Team of the year award. Its very exciting to be able to offer such an innovative approach to support patients with mental health needs. We hope there is something to suit everyone’s personal needs with our onsite psychiatrists, psychologists, financial advisors, social workers, acupuncture, aromatherapy and regular arts, gardening and music groups.
National GP Team of the Year Awards 2014
The practice has won the national GP Enterprise Award in the category – Outstanding Practice Team of the Year 2014.
This was in recognition of the work we have done in creating the practice teams and the continuity of case project. It is a national award organised through GP magazine and was awarded on 9th June.
